Learn about some of the best ways to collect and use clinical data for research. With our newly launched REDCap system, you can easily and safely create forms or surveys to collect data. The long-standing Research Database provides clinical data formatted for use in finding research cohorts and connects researchers with NJH Biobank samples. Both the RDB and REDCap can be leveraged to create registries and data sets for analysis and hypothesis formation. Examples of clinical data and available biological samples in well-characterized patient populations (e.g., asthma) will be given that could enhance your basic/translational research.
A short presentation by Pearlanne Zelarney and Ruthie Knowles will be followed by a panel of RDB and REDCap users (Richard Meehan, Fabienne Gally, Steph Jump, Jim Crooks). Come with your questions so that we can have a lively discussion.
